- Don’t be known for getting in touch when you need something, be known for being always there,
- Ask more questions and show curiosity versus talking about yourself,
- If you can’t help, make the effort to connect them with someone who can,
- Don’t abuse trust – if something is shared in confidence don’t let it leave the room,
- You don’t always need to talk about business – make an effort to connect around family, friends and common interests,
- Make an effort to enquire more about where someone is from & where they went to school – these are two defining life pillars,
- Be an open book – if something isn’t working address it politely rather than keeping your frustrations bottled up,
- When things remind you of them – pass on the details. Always brightens someone’s day to know they are being thought about,
- If you need to make a sacrifice to see something change; be the first one open to doing so. People will treat you with the same kindness in return,
- Don’t wait to see how you can help – always be proactive and look for ways to improve the lives of those around you.
